Mrs. Betty Joyce Miles

Betty Joyce Miles, age 73, of Higdon AL passed away on Sunday, November 28, 2021. Betty was born September 1, 1948 in Guntersville, AL to the late Fred and Jimmie Evans. She was a loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She was much loved by family and friends. She loved the Lord and was a longtime member of Kennamer Baptist Church. Betty was a paraprofessional for many years in the Jackson County School System. After retiring, she dedicated the rest of her time to her family.

In addition to her parents, Betty was predeceased by siblings, Wade, Wayne, Phillip and Tangela Evans.

Left to cherish her memory are husband or 53 years, J W Miles; children, Shane (Mashonda) Miles, Sonjia (Brian) Vann and Nona (Lynn) Higdon; grandchildren, Kara Higdon, Tyler (Hannah) Vann, Ean (Victoria) Miles, and Kami (Jay) Barret; 1 great-grandchild Piper Lynn Barrett; brothers, Lynn (Wanda) Evans and Rick Evans; several nieces, nephews and a host of friends.

Funeral services will be held on Thursday, December 2, 2021 at 1:00 PM ET in the Bryant Chapel of Moore Funeral Home. Burial will follow at Kennamer Cemetery.

The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 4:00 PM – 8:00 PM ET and on Thursday from 11:00 AM until the funeral hour.
