Gary Hixon

June 29, 1950 - April 10, 2020

ROSSVILLE, GA: Gary Carl Hixon, 69, went home to be with the Lord on April 10, 2020, at home with his family by his side. He was born June 29, 1950 in Chattanooga, TN to Mary Williams and the late Grover Hixon. Gary proudly served his country in the U.S. Navy and was a member of Slygo Holiness Church. In addition to his father he was also preceded in death by his grandson, Jake Hixon. He is survived by his loving wife of 49 years, Sandra Hixon; two sons, Scott (Stephanie) Hixon and Chad Hixon; mother Mary Williams; sister Norma (Glen) Barton; grandchildren, Kate, Betsy, Cory, and Eric Hixon. Due to the current health regulations, the immediate family will have a private service with Brother Donnie Walker officiating. Gary will be laid to rest at the Chattanooga National Cemetery. Honorary pallbearers are Cory Hixon, Eric Hixon, Woody Wooten, Bill York, Joe Eller, Stacy Jackson, Micah Kelley and Jeremy Millard.
