James Cecil Abbott

J. C. ABBOTT   RISING FAWN, GA.: James Cecil (J.C.) Abbott, age 92, of the New Salem Community, passed away June 11, 2018.  He was a member of New Salem United Methodist Church. He was preceded in death by his wife, Audrey Abbott; grandson Kenneth Lanier; parents Jim and Avie Abbott; three brothers and one sister. He is survived by his daughters Patricia McNabb, Ft. Oglethorpe, GA., Sarah Lanier, LaFayette, GA.; four grandchildren, six great-grandchildren; sisters Mamie Clark and Lois Cross; brothers Larry Abbott and Elmer Abbott; nieces, nephews, and a host of friends. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 PM EDT Thursday, June 14, 2018 in the Trenton Chapel of Moore Funeral Home with Reverend Jodie Ihfe and Reverend John Stanley officiating. Interment will be held in Hawkins Cemetery. Visitation will be held Wednesday 4:00 PM ~ 8:00 PM EDT; Thursday 10:00 AM ~ 2:00 PM. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the New Salem United Methodist Church or Hawkins Cemetery Fund.
