Mr James Roy Hicks

JAMES HICKS WILDWOOD, GA: James Hicks, 82, passed away September 8, 2019 at his home in Wildwood, Georgia, with his family by his side. He was born November 12, 1936 at Section, Alabama to the late Jim Hicks and Minnie Hicks Bunch. James retired from Model Box and he also worked many years with Corley Manufacturing Company. He was a United States Army Veteran. James was a member at Valley Memorial Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by one sister, Minnie Fay Thurmond. James is survived by his loving wife and caregiver, Nancy Hicks for 63 ½ years; three sons and daughters-in-law, James (Cathy), Tim (Cindy), Mark (Andria); grandsons, Chris, Chad, Tony and Tyler Hicks; two great grandsons, Hayden and Ty Hicks; one great-granddaughter, Haylee Hicks; one sister, Mary Creed; one sister-in-law, Eloise Brazier and a host of friends, nieces and nephews. We would like to thank Hospice of Chattanooga for the wonderful care and love they gave us. There were four special people that we grew to love, Hazel, Mary, Lynn and Patty. You were the best. Funeral services will be held 11:00 AM Wednesday, September 11, 2019 in the Chapel of Moore Funeral Home with Brother Josh Hollifield officiating.
