James E. Loyd Ii

James E. (Pooney) Loyd II, age 79, Bryant, AL passed October 11, 2021 at his home after a brief illness.
He is survived by his brother, Mike Loyd of Bryant as well as several nieces and nephews.
He was born in Portsmouth, VA and attended Pisgah High in Pisgah, AL. For the majority of his adult life, he was employed at I. E. Dupont in Chattanooga, TN.
A graveside service with military honors will be held at Oak Lawn Memorial Park, Bryant, AL on Friday, October 15, 2021 at 2:00 ET (1:00 CT).
Visitation will be held on Friday from 12:30 PM - 1:15 PM ET at Moore Funeral Home, Bryant, AL.
Pallbearers will be Logan Carter, Rodney Fine, Tim Knight, Larry Knight, Robert Cox, and Bo Mitchell.
Special thanks to the 4th floor staff at Parkridge Hospital, Chattanooga, TN and Encompass Hospice of Scottsboro, AL for the loving care shown.
In lieu of flowers, James’ request was that donations be sent to St. Jude’s Children’s Hospital ( https://www.stjude.org/donate ).
Arrangements were entrusted to Moore Funeral Home, Bryant, AL.
