Mr. Jessie Thomas Weathers Sr.

Jessie Thomas Weathers, 73, of Trenton, GA, passed away February 17, 2022 at his residence. He was born March 20, 1948 to Lee and Doris Weathers. Jessie loved spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Outdoor activities were among his favorite – hunting, fishing, and sitting on the front porch watching his hummingbirds.

In addition to his parents, he is preceded in death by his wife, Gloria Weathers; sons Jessie Thomas Weathers, Jr. and Jessie Nathaniel Weathers.

Left to cherish his memory are his daughters, Donna (Tommy) Cordell, Bryant, AL., Dee Dee (Kenny) Bishop, Flat Rock, AL., and Deborah (George) Peters, Trenton, GA.; seven grandchildren, Tiffany Shrader, Katie Cordell, Colton Peters, William Peters, Joseph Peters, Hunter Bishop, and Haley Bishop; step-grandchildren Kenneth Bishop III and Scharee Moore; eight great-grandchildren; sisters, Jeannie Byrd, Theresia (Gary) Beck, Sadie Leverett, Faye (Jack) Leverett, Ginger (Jerry) Scruggs, Barbara (Alan) Wallin, and Lizzie (Roger) Ginn; brothers Tony (Wanda) Weathers, Joe (Patsy) Weathers, Bobby (Brenda) Weathers, and Marion (Debbie) Weathers; nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.

Funeral services will be held at 12:00 pm ET on Monday, February 21, 2022 in the Trenton Chapel of Moore Funeral Home. He will be laid to rest in Brown Gap Cemetery.

The family will receive friends on Sunday from 2:00 pm - 6:00 pm ET and Monday from 10:00 am - 12:00 pm.
