Mr. James “Jimmy” W. Aiken Sr, 80, of Bryant, AL passed away on Monday, March 14, 2022. Jimmy was born to Lizzie and Melvin Aiken on September 12, 1941 in Creedmoor, NC.
Jimmy is survived by his wife of 62 years, Joyce Vaughn Aiken; three children, Annette Aiken Briggs, Lynne Aiken High and James Aiken, Jr.; five grandchildren, Shane Briggs, Wesley Aiken, Jessica Aiken and Katelyn Aiken of Bryant, AL, Andrew Moore of Durham, NC; two great-grandchildren, Haleigh Aiken and Eli Moore; brother in-law, Ronnie (Alice) Vaughn; sister in-law, Denise (Jim) McKinnon; two sisters, Patty Neal and Mary Whitman; and special loving aunt, Hazel Strickland.
Jimmy was a true friend to those he met through life and a loving, caring special man to his family.
A memorial service will be held on March 27, 2022 at 2:00 PM ET at Ebenezer Baptist Church in Bryant, AL. Visitation will begin at 1:00 PM ET.
