L.J. STEPHENS RISING FAWN, GA: L. J. Stephens, age 88, passed away Sunday, June 24, 2018, in Clermont, FL. He was a former resident of the New Salem Community. He was a loving husband, grandfather, great-grandfather, and brother.  He was of the Christian faith. He was preceded in death by his parents, Dock and Vennie Avans Stephens; sons Albert Ray and Rodney Stephens; daughter Faye Craig; grandsons Curtis Wayne Stephens II and Jason Vaughn; brothers C.W. (Pete) Stephens, Doyle Stephens; sister Amalee Price. He is survived by his loving wife of sixty-nine years, Geraldine Stephens; daughter Joyce Sampley; sons Curtis Wayne Stephens and Ricky Stephens; fifteen grandchildren, twenty-two great-grandchildren; sisters Wavolee Phillips, Maxlee Christopher, Cleta Kirby, and Gayla Fowler; brothers Willard Stephens, Wayne Stephens, and Durand Stephens; nieces, nephews, and a host of friends. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM EDT Saturday, June 30, 2018 in the Trenton Chapel of Moore Funeral Home with Reverend Mike Burton officiating. Interment will be held in Hawkins Cemetery. Visitation will be held Friday 4:00 PM ~ 8:00 PM; Saturday 10:00 AM ~ 1:00 PM. EDT
