MARTHA HIGDON HIGDON AL: Martha Ann Higdon, age 79 went to be with her Lord, Saturday, March 9, 2019. She was a member of Higdon Holiness Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Garlton B. Higdon Sr.; parents, Bessie Strickland and James Henderson; sisters, Ella Jean Parton and Sue Ramsey; brother, James G. Henderson; daughter in law, Sandra L. Higdon. Survivors include her loving family, daughters, Peggy (Denny) Davis, Rachel (Jimmie) Adams and Sylvia Smith; son, Garlton Higdon, Jr.; sisters, Faye Durham, Nina Hudgins, Rosa Whitley; twenty-two grandchildren; Jennifer (Chris) Baker, Garlton B. “Shawn (Salena) Higdon, III, Patrick (Tabitha) Higdon, Christie (Mark) LaHayne, Jeremy (Shelly) Adams, Lance Adams, Tiffany (TJ) Rakowitz, Amanda Smith, Cassie (Clint) McKenzie, Tara (Tyler) Brewer, Hilary (Tyson) Robinson, Toby (Caitlin) Davis; thirty-three great grandchildren and six great great grandchildren; several nieces and nephews and a host of family and friends. Funeral services will be held 4:00 PM EDT Tuesday, March 12, 2019 at Higdon Holiness Church with Brother Edwin Spurgeon and Brother Jody Gray officiating. Interment will be held in Oak Lawn Memorial Park.
