Mr. Shawn Curtis Helton

BRYANT, AL.: Shawn Curtis Helton, age 36, passed away August 17, 2021 from injuries received in an automobile accident. He loved basketball and was passionate about raising money for scholarships for graduates, charitable-giving shoes, money to those in need, and missions in Bahamas. Shawn attended Trenton Ministry Center and proudly served his country in the US Army.

He is preceded in death by his grandparents Opal Williams, Archie Williams, Clayburn Helton, Ruby Helton, niece Jada Drew, great-nephew Jasper Collier.

Shawn is survived by his parents Clayburn and Nadine Helton; sister Felecia Helton; brothers Billy Joe Helton, Bobby Lee Helton, Adam Wayne Helton; nieces, nephews, and a host of friends.

Funeral services will be held Sunday, August 22, 2021 at 1:00 PM EDT in the Bryant Chapel with Reverend Billy Helton officiating. Burial will follow in the Burgess Cemetery, Scottsboro, AL.

The family will receive friends Saturday 4:00 PM ~ 8:00 PM EDT; Sunday 11:00 AM ~ 1:00 PM EDT at the Bryant Chapel.
