Shirley Dean Forshee

Shirley Dean Forshee, 83, of Bryant, AL passed away peacefully on Saturday, January 8, 2022. She was born March 5, 1938 to the late Willie and Ada Inman. Shirley was a member of Higdon Free Holiness Church for over sixty-two years. She enjoyed cooking and made sure everyone was well fed. Shirley was a retired seamstress from Buster Brown in Ider, AL and loved to quilt.

In addition to her parents, Shirley was preceded in death by brothers, John, Bill and Aurthur Inman; and sisters, Mille Davis and Carrie McBryar.

She is survived by her husband of sixty-three years, Joe Forshee; daughter, Starla (Tony) Strickland; sons, Randy (Marcia) Forshee and Brad (Tina) Forshee; sisters, Martha Easley, Betty (Paul) Mashburn and Patricia (Sherman) Tinker; grandchildren, Cherie’ (Ryan) Sanders, Josh (Katie) Forshee, Natasha (Josh) Aragaki, Rashae McCreary, Brittany (Miguel) Hernandez and Branson (Whitney) Strickland; thirteen great-grandchildren, nieces, nephews and a host of friends.

A funeral service for Shirley will be held at 2:00 ET on Wednesday, January 12, 2022 at Higdon Holiness Church with Brother Edwin Spurgeon and Brother Barry Pritchett officiating. Visitation will be on Tuesday from 1:00 – 8:00 ET and Wednesday from 11:00 AM – 2:00 ET at Higdon Holiness Church. She will be laid to rest at Oak Lawn Memorial Park.
