Alan Holt

Alan “Hippie” Holt, age 73, of Chickamauga, GA, passed away peacefully at his home on Friday, July 18, 2025.

Born January 10, 1952, Alan was the son of the late Jack and Joyce Thompson Holt. He loved the outdoors, particularly camping and fishing, and had a passion for Harley-Davidson motorcycles. With a big heart and a giving spirit, Alan never met a stranger and was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need.

He worked for many years at U.S. Pipe in Chattanooga, TN. Alan was a 50-year Mason and a member of Lookout Valley Lodge #673. More than anything, he cherished time spent with his family, who meant the world to him.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brothers, Perry Holt Sr. and Kris Holt.

Left to carry on his memory are his sons, Alan Walker, Zeb Holt, and Shane Russell; brother, Neal Holt; his beloved grandchildren; nephews, Jason Holt, Perry Holt Jr., Christopher Holt, and Neal Holt Jr.; and nieces, Beth Lusk, Heather Holt, and Danielle Hunt.

Alan will be laid to rest at Lakewood Memory Gardens West during a private family service.
