Billie "The Man" Derrell Tipton Cox, age 34, of Trenton, Georgia, left this world far too soon on Sunday, November 9, 2025. His life, though brief, was vibrant and filled with a profound passion for those he loved and the causes he championed.
From his earliest days, Billie was dedicated to making the workplace safer for all, a testament to his commitment to the well-being of others. He was a true enthusiast of the Pokémon universe, meticulously cultivating an impressive card collection and actively nurturing a community that brought joy and connection throughout his life. Time spent with friends at Druid's Lair was among his cherished pastimes, highlighting his ability to forge lasting relationships.
Wrestling held a special place in Billie's heart, where he reveled in playful banter and the thrill of competition. His love for all things Nintendo sparked countless joyful moments, and he took great delight in gathering with family, particularly during festive meals that brought everyone together. Adventures with his beloved wife and children were a source of immense joy, creating memories that will resonate through the years. Known for his sharp wit and a dash of dark humor, Billie had a unique talent for engaging with those around him, often with a playful roast that entertained his siblings and friends alike.
Billie's love for his family was profound and unwavering. He is survived by his devoted wife, Amy Guffey, and their beloved children, Grey Tindell and Micah Guffey. He leaves behind his parents, Sandra and Wesley Setser, along with his cherished siblings: Ashley and Kevin West, Devon and Aniesa Setser, DeeDee Vaughn and Wayland Wall, and Alex and Heather Setser. He was also a beloved uncle to several nieces and nephews, and a treasured member of a large extended family that embraced him wholeheartedly.
Preceding him in death were his grandparents, Billie and Patricia Cole Whited, Delora Setser, and his aunt Michelle Haynes, who will welcome him into their eternal embrace.
In this time of sorrow, Billie's family wishes to extend their heartfelt gratitude for the outpouring of love and support they have received. Although his physical presence will be deeply missed, the impact of Billie’s life will forever remain in the hearts of those he touched.
A memorial service to celebrate Billie's life will be held on November 16, 2025 at the Trenton Georgia Community Center (381 Bond Avenue, Trenton, Georgia 30752) at 2:00 PM EST.
