Carron June Smith

Carron June Smith, age 66, of Rising Fawn, Georgia, passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 26, 2026.

A graveside service to celebrate June’s life will be held at 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 29, 2026, at Mount Olive Cemetery with Brother Wayne Pace officiating.

The family will receive friends at the Trenton Chapel of Moore Funeral Home on Tuesday from 4:00 until 8:00 p.m. and on Wednesday from 10:00 until 11:30 a.m.

June’s family was the center of her life, and she loved them with all her heart. She treasured the time they spent together and found special joy in being with her grandchildren. Thoughtful and generous by nature, June devoted herself to caring for those she loved and was always there whenever her family needed her.

She enjoyed quilting, sewing, and was an excellent cook. June expressed her love through the many ways she cared for others, and her kindness and devotion touched everyone around her. She was of the Baptist faith.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Alton B. and Rita Brown Mitchell, and her sister, Catherine Jill Hise.

Left to cherish her memory are her life partner, David Cooper; children, Jessica Smith Wimpey (Brandon Jackson), Harold W. Smith IV (Faith), Jeff Smith (Jessica), and Justin Smith (LaSha); sister, Janie Holcomb (Doyle); grandchildren, Cadell (Rylee Miller), Gavin, Maleah, Ashlyn, Mason, Hailey, Ellie, and Logan; along with many extended family members and dear friends.

June’s loving spirit, generous heart, and unwavering devotion to her family will be remembered by everyone blessed to have known her.
