Charles Jefferson Williams, a longtime resident of Trenton, Georgia, passed away on Wednesday, June 3, 2026 at the age of 65.
A funeral service to celebrate Charles' life will be held at 1:00 PM on Monday, June 8, 2026 in the Larry Moore Memorial Chapel with Rev. Billy Helton officiating. Following the service, he will be laid to rest at Lake Hills Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Monday from 11:00 AM until the time of the service.
Charles was born in Fort Payne, Alabama on May 15, 1961 to the late Archie and Opal Williams. Charles spent most of his life in Dade County and was well known to many. Those who knew Charles knew he was cantankerous, but those that truly knew him, knew that he loved everyone wholeheartedly and was one of the truest friends to everyone in need. He was always lending a helping hand and enjoyed working everyday, making that money. Even though his loss has left an empty place in his family and community, he will always be remembered as a giving man, friend, husband, father, brother and a beloved son.
In addition to his parents, Charles was also preceded in death by his wife, Helen Rose Williams, three brothers, Buddy Williams, Truman Williams, Franklin Williams and one sister, Betty Ann Williams.
Survivors include his two step-daughters, Holly Stewart and Amber Lynn; sisters, Opal Nichols, Nadine (JR) Helton, Silva (Danny) Morgan and Ruby (Harold) Sparks; brothers, Andrew Williams, Ray Williams, Randall Williams, Larry Williams, Billy (Becky) Williams and Amos Williams as well as a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
