Clarence Watson Wall, Jr., beloved father, grandfather, and friend, passed away peacefully at his home in Lookout Mountain, Georgia, on Monday, March 23, 2026, at the age of 93.
Born in Atlanta, Georgia, on August 20, 1932, to the late Clarence and Elizabeth Wall, Clarence lived a life marked by devotion to family, faith, and community. He treasured the joy of connecting with others and was known for his warm hospitality, always making everyone feel welcome and accepted just as they were. A lover of travel and social gatherings, Clarence embraced life with enthusiasm and kindness.
Clarence proudly served his country in the United States Navy during his younger years, a commitment that reflected his lifelong dedication to duty and service. He was a proud graduate of Georgia Tech, where he earned his Bachelor's Degree in Engineering—he enjoyed a distinguished 60-year career as a Textile Engineer before his retirement.
Beyond his professional life, Clarence pursued his passions with joy. He was an avid golfer and a devoted member of the National Rose Society, where he not only cultivated beautiful roses but also embraced sharing that love with others—freely and generously, ensuring that his passion was something all could enjoy. He was also an ardent barbershop quartet member for over 50 years, a testament to his love of music and camaraderie. Since 1991, he was a faithful member of Lookout Mountain Presbyterian Church, where his life of faith was evident in both word and deed.
He is survived by his son, Trey Wall; his step-daughter, Victoria Wall; his grandsons, Christian and William Wall; and numerous extended family members and friends who will cherish their memories of him. Clarence was preceded in death by his beloved wife, Sally Wall; his son, William "Billy" Wall; his brother, Alford Wall; and his parents.
