Clifford Rice Holt

Clifford Rice Holt, age 75, of Trenton, went home to be with the Lord on Monday, August 18, 2025 at his residence.

A funeral service to celebrate Clifford's life will be held Thursday, August 21, 2025, at 2:00 PM in the Larry Moore Memorial Chapel of Moore Funeral Home, Trenton, GA, with Bro. Mike Casey officiating. The family will receive friends from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM on Wednesday, August 20, 2025 and again on Thursday from 12:00 PM until the service hour. Following the service, he will be laid to rest at Shantytown Cemetery.

Clifford was a lifelong resident of Dade County and was born on August 15, 1950 to the late Rice Talley Holt and Addie Mae Holt. He retired as a steel handler from Dixie Industries in Chattanooga after many years of service. Clifford was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather who deeply cherished his family and made many memories over the years. He was a devoted fan of the Atlanta Braves and enjoyed taking care of his lawn with great pride. He considered his two girls and sons-in-law his best friends and also loved his grandchildren and great-grandchildren deeply.

Clifford is survived by his loving wife of 56 years, Shirley Faye Holt, two daughters, Linda Kay (Nathan) Smith and Carol Fay (David) Blevins; two sisters, Ila Mae McClure and Wanda Dawn Henderson; grandchildren, Corey Tipton Williams, Curtis Dwight (Megan) Williams, Justin (Samantha) Leverett, Whitney (Caleb) Vile, Madison Leverett, Jericho Leverett, Makayla (Holden) Morgan and Zander Smith; great-grandchildren, Ryder and Jubilee Vile, Connor Williams and Kaden Moss.

Clifford's legacy will forever be cherished in the hearts of all who had the pleasure of knowing him.
