Camping, gardening, being outdoors, and cheering on the Alabama Football team were among Cranford’s most enjoyed pastimes.
Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 42 years, Sharon K. Baker Smith; his sisters, Aline Skelton and Jimmy Ruth Rousseau, both of Huntsville, Alabama; along with many extended family members, friends, and several nieces and nephews.
In addition to his parents, Cranford was preceded in death by his brothers, James “Jack” Smith of Huntsville, Alabama, and Fletcher N. Smith of McDonald, Tennessee.
