Darana "Pedie" Tipton

Darana “Pedie” Tipton, age 69, of Bryant, Alabama, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, October 28, 2025.

Born on August 16, 1956, to Louise M. Brown and Arthur E. Kinsey, Pedie was known for her kind heart, quick wit, and welcoming personality. She loved to laugh, share stories, and never met a stranger. Always ready to lend a helping hand, she had a way of making everyone feel cared for and at ease.

Pedie worked for many years at Mohawk in South Pittsburg, Tennessee, where she was a dedicated employee and built many lifelong friendships. Above all, she loved her family deeply and cherished every moment spent together.

She is survived by her daughter, Renee (Chris) Brown of Dalton, Georgia; her mother, Louise M. Brown; siblings, Virginia “Jenny” (Jerry) Blansit and Jeff (Pam) Kinsey; granddaughter, Emily (Richard) Sloan; great-grandchild, Jax Sloan; and several nieces, nephews, and extended family members who will miss her dearly.

Pedie was preceded in death by her father, Arthur E. Kinsey, and brothers, William “Bug” Kinsey and Doyce “Doc” Kinsey.

Family and friends are invited to gather and celebrate Pedie’s life on Saturday, November 1, 2025, from 11:00 AM until 1:00 PM ET at the Bryant Chapel of Moore Funeral Home.
