Mr. Dewey Baker

Dewey Lee Baker, 71, of Trenton, GA passed away on Wednesday, February 1, 2023 in a local hospital.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 4:00 PM on Sunday, February 5, 2023 at the Trenton Chapel of Moore Funeral Home. The family will receive friends on Sunday from 12:30 PM until the service hour.
Dewey was born January 23, 1952 to the late Leonard Baker Sr. and Lucille Baker Stone. He served as a Patrolman for the City of Trenton in the 1980’s and retired from Combustion Engineering. After retirement, Dewey enjoyed gardening and cooking. He would often bake cakes and give them away to people. Dewey never met a stranger and was a known jokester in the community. He will be dearly missed by those who had the pleasure of knowing him.
In addition to his parents, Dewey was preceded in death by brother, Robert D. Baker and sister in-law, Deborah Smith.
Left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of forty-seven years, Phyllis Baker; son, Nathan (Martha) Baker; nephew that he considered a son, Bryan (Amanda) Smith; brother, Leonard (Carol) Baker Jr.; sisters in-law, Marion Baker, Lynette (Dan) Trundle, Betty R. Hartline; grandchildren, Kaleb, Ella and Harper Baker; nieces, Sharon (Cranford) Smith, Beth Baker and Sabrina Shortt; and a host of friends.
