Gracie Earline Pritchett, 92, of Higdon, Alabama, passed away peacefully on Sunday, July 19, 2026.
A funeral service to celebrate Earline's life will be held on Tuesday, July 21, 2026, at 1:00 PM ET at Higdon Free Holiness Church in Higdon, Alabama with Brother Edwin Spurgeon and Brother Jimmy Ferguson officiating. Earline will be laid to rest at Higdon Cemetery.

Born on December 15, 1933, in Higdon, Alabama, Earline was the daughter of the late Jack Tinker and Gracie Louise Higdon. Following the death of her father, her mother married the late Oval Higdon, and together they raised a large family. Earline was the second oldest of ten siblings and spent her entire life caring for others. From helping raise her younger brothers and sisters to faithfully caring for her own family, her life was defined by selfless love and service.
She devoted herself to caring for her daughter through an extended illness, lovingly tended to her husband until his passing, and for the past 25 years faithfully cared for her brother, Lebron Higdon, until his recent death. Her quiet strength and servant's heart left a lasting impression on everyone who knew her.
Earline was a virtuous woman who worked tirelessly with both her hands and her heart. She enjoyed cooking for family and was known for her delicious banana pudding. A faithful member of Higdon Free Holiness Church, Earline lived out her faith through kindness, compassion, and a lifetime of caring for others.
She is survived by her brother, Leedale Higdon; her grandchildren, Kimberly and Randall Pritchett; and several nieces, nephews, and extended family members.
Earline was preceded in death by her husband, Calvin Pritchett; her son, Randy Pritchett; her daughter, Debra Pritchett; her daughter-in-law, Kathrine Pritchett; and her siblings, Lavita Higdon, Arthur Tinker, Lendon Higdon, Garlton Higdon, Sr., Oval Levon "Pan" Higdon, Patricia Bryant, Dorthia Smith, and Calvin Lebron Higdon.
Though her hands are now at rest, the legacy of love, sacrifice, and unwavering devotion she leaves behind will continue to live on in the lives of those she so faithfully served.
