Eddie Siniard

Edwin Lee “Eddie” Siniard, 82, of Bryant, Alabama, passed away on Saturday, September 26, 2026.

Eddie was born on August 17, 1944, in Ider, Alabama. He was a longtime member of Ebenezer Baptist Church and a devoted husband, father, grandfather, and great-grandfather.

A hardworking man throughout his life, Eddie began his career working for his uncle, Cecil, at a mechanic shop and later worked at a saddle shop. He went on to become a master welder with Combustion, where he worked for 45 years. During those years, many of his coworkers became lifelong friends and were considered family. Eddie enjoyed spending time with “the guys”.

Eddie was an avid Alabama football fan and enjoyed gardening. He also enjoyed the many adventures he shared with his wife, Margaret, and treasured the memories they made together. Above all, Eddie loved his family and treasured his role as “Papaw.” He loved spending time with his grandchildren and great-grandchildren, who brought him great joy.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Glenda Siniard; mother and stepfather, Iva Lee and Hobert Moore; father and stepmother, Edwin H. and Marcia Siniard; great-grandson, Leo Phillips; sisters, Patricia Nichols and Kim Siniard; and brother, Lee Moore.

Those left to cherish Eddie’s memory include his wife, Margaret Grant Siniard; children, Michele York (Shannon), James Jeffrey Siniard, Scott Siniard (Kellie), Scarlett Hannah (Rob), and Chad Grant (Shelley); grandchildren, Corey Phillips, Chelsea Pockman (Brady), Sydney Keener (Josh), Nathan Siniard, Hannah Kelleher, Bailey Siniard, Taylor York (Kelsey), Jadyn York, Graham Siniard, Grace Siniard, Hannah Shirey (Jay), Dylan Grant, Mattie Townsend (Logan), and Luke Hannah; great-grandchildren, Aiden Phillips, Connor Phillips, Isaac Pockman, Levi Pockman, Isla Rose Pockman, Zora Keener, Eden Keener, Madison Kelleher, Noah York, Daniel York, Elsie York, and Jack Shirey; sisters, Cecelia Moore Oney and Lisa Siniard Thayer; along with extended family members and many dear friends.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, September 30, at 2:00 PM ET in the Bryant Chapel of Moore Funeral Home with Brother Darren Rogers and Brother Gene McCoy officiating. Eddie will be laid to rest at Oak Lawn Memorial Park.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday from 3:00 PM until 8:00 PM ET and again on Wednesday from 12:00 PM until the service hour.
