Emily "Cricket" Casey

Emily Stevens Casey, affectionately known as "Cricket," age 87 of Trenton, Georgia, passed away peacefully on Sunday, June 7, 2026.

A graveside service will be held at 10:00 AM on Friday, June 12, 2026, at New Home Cemetery in Trenton, Georgia with Pastor Carol Moore officiating. 

The family will receive friends at Moore Funeral Home in Trenton on Thursday, June 11, 2026, from 2:00 PM until 4:00 PM.

Cricket was born in Trenton on July 22, 1938, to the late Jack Stevens and Mary Cloud Stevens. She spent her life in the community she loved and was known for having a caring heart, strong faith, and a mind of her own. She was a faithful Christian of the Holiness faith who believed in helping people when they needed it. If Cricket thought someone could use a hand, she didn't spend much time thinking about it, she simply stepped in and helped, whether she had much to give or not. She was the kind of person who spoke her mind, stood by her convictions, and cared deeply for people in her own way.

She is survived by her three children and their spouses; several grandchildren; and numerous nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by six siblings.

The family would like to express their gratitude for the love, prayers, and support shown during this time of loss.
