Evelyn Wheeler

Evelyn M. Wheeler, age 65, of Trenton, GA, passed away peacefully on Monday, June 9, 2025, at Haralson Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Bremen, GA.

Evelyn was born on May 29, 1960, in Trenton, where she spent the majority of her life. Though she lived with cerebral palsy, it never defined her spirit. She was known for her joyful personality, love for conversation, and sincere interest in the lives of others. Evelyn never met a stranger and always wanted to know how everyone was doing—she truly was a social butterfly.

Her faith in the Lord was the cornerstone of her life. Evelyn loved to worship, pray, and sing, and could often be found listening to gospel music for hours on end. Her unwavering trust in God brought her comfort, strength, and joy. Those who knew her have no doubt she is now rejoicing in Heaven, reunited with her beloved mother, Mary Belcher Wheeler, her brother Andy Wheeler, and her sister Dora Wheeler.

Evelyn is survived by her devoted friend and guardian, Deborah Stack of Hernando, FL as well as Niki Hay Perry and Neil Perry. She will be missed dearly by all who knew her.

A Celebration of Evelyn's life will be held at a later date.
