The family will receive loved ones and friends at the funeral home on Saturday from 12:00 p.m. ET until the service hour.

Gerry was born on May 23, 1946, to the late Louis and Nora Benefield Gaddis in the Higdon community of Sand Mountain. She found great joy in the simple blessings of life and especially enjoyed tending to her garden and canning vegetables she had grown herself. More than anything, Gerry treasured time spent with her family, and her grandchildren held an especially dear place in her heart.

A woman of deep and abiding faith, Gerry faithfully attended Mt. Hermon Baptist Church. Her love for the Lord was evident in the way she lived her life and served as a lasting testimony to her family and friends. Her devotion to her faith, her family, and those she loved will remain a treasured part of her legacy.

Gerry shared more than 61 years of marriage with her devoted husband, Ed Sayler, a remarkable testament to their enduring love and commitment to one another. She is also survived by her children, Terica (Jeffrey) Cash, Jefferey (Mitizi) Sayler, and Chuck (Melanie) Sayler; siblings, Donna Lee (Terry) Robinson and David Louis Gaddis; grandchildren, Christopher Sayler, Zachary Sayler, Lillian Sayler, and Logan Sayler; along with numerous extended family members, loved ones, and friends who will forever cherish her memory.

In addition to her parents, Gerry was preceded in death by her siblings, Joe Gaddis, Phyllis Jean Cosper, Sarah Ann Smith, and Reba Sue Gaddis.

Gerry will be remembered for her steadfast faith, her devotion to her family, and the love she so freely shared with those around her. Though she will be deeply missed, the life she lived and the memories she created will continue to bring comfort to those who knew and loved her.
