Grover Geddie

Grover Ellis Geddie, age 83, of Trenton, Georgia, passed away peacefully on February 15, 2026.

Grover was born April 16, 1942, to the late Jim and Clara Frazier Geddie. He was a devoted family man whose loved ones were always at the heart of his life. Grover cherished time spent together, especially sharing meals and fellowship with those he loved. Known for his generous spirit, he was always willing to lend a helping hand. For 25 years, Grover lived and worked in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, where he served as a terminal supervisor with Coastal, fueling large ships. After retiring, he returned home to Trenton in 1999.

Grover was a faithful member of Trenton First Baptist Church, where he enjoyed serving as a greeter during Thursday evening services. Although health issues prevented him from attending regularly in recent years, he remained devoted by faithfully watching services online. In his spare time, Grover enjoyed shopping, reading, and watching Westerns.

He is survived by his loving wife, Faye Geddie; daughter, Sherry (Joe) Ooten; sons, Lamar (Linda) Whited and Kevin (Stacey) Whited; brother, Joe (Ann) Geddie; sister-in-law, Helen Geddie; grandchildren, Josh (Kristen) Ooten, Chris (Emily) Ooten, Caleb (Kayla) Ooten, Brittainy Whited, Kelsey Whited, and Ryan (Sarah) Whited; great-grandchildren, Kyrin Whited, Charlee, Walker, and Henry Ooten; and several nieces, nephews, and extended family members.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Ralph Geddie.

Funeral services will be held on Wednesday, February 18, 2026, at 12:00 PM in the Larry Moore Memorial Chapel of Moore Funeral Home in Trenton, Georgia, with Brother Eddie Cantrell officiating. Interment will follow at Lake Hills Memorial Gardens.

The family will receive friends at Moore Funeral Home on Tuesday from 4:00 – 8:00 and on Wednesday from 10:00 AM until the service hour.

Grover will be remembered for his love of family, his generous heart, and his quiet faith. His presence will be deeply missed, but his memory will live on in the lives of those who knew and loved him.
