Henry Wallace Cowen, Sr.

November 28, 1941 — April 19, 2024


 Henry Wallace Cowen, Sr., age 82, of Bryant, Alabama, passed away peacefully Friday, April 19, 2024.
 A graveside service will be held at 6:00 PM on Monday, April 22, 2024 at Wildwood Cemetery with Pastor Wilbur Atwood officiating.
 Mr. Cowen was born on November 28, 1941 to the late Benjamin F. and Nina Cowen and has resided in the Bryant community for the past 26 years. He was the owner and president of Family Heritage Books Inc where he devoted his life passionately in Christian ministry. He was a member of New England Seventh-Day Adventist Church for many years. He also enjoyed bird-watching from his home and considered the Cardinal as one of his favorites.
 In addition to his parents, he is also preceded in death by his brother, Ben Cowan, Jr.
 He is survived by his loving wife of 61 years, Jeannie Cowen; daughters, Sharalea (Bryan) Blewett and Gena (Craig) Philpott; son, Henry "Skip" (Teresa) Cowen, Jr.; his sister, Martha Stausser and six precious grandchildren, Carissa, Jordon, LeAn, Brandon, Mark and Justin.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may made to Family Heritage Books to further the mission and legacy of Henry, PO Box 232, Wildwood, GA 30757
The family will also hold a memorial service to celebrate Henry's life at a later date.
