Henry Sturgeon Hilliard

Henry Sturgeon Hilliard, a resident of Trenton, GA, peacefully passed away on Saturday, September 16, 2023 at the age of 80.

Henry was born on January 17, 1943 in Gainesville, FL. He lived a fulfilling life, dedicated to his craft as an electrician and retired from Covenant College after many years of service. In addition to his professional accomplishments, Henry proudly served his country as a member of the United States Army.

Henry will be forever remembered by his surviving family. He is survived by his children, Dee Hilliard and Ralph Hilliard; brother, John Hilliard; step-sons, Mitchell (Regina) Moore and Adam (Beth) Moore; and grandchildren, Joshuah, Sara, and Gracie Hilliard and Connor, Kayden, and Kayci Moore.

In addition to the parents, Henry was preceded in death by his beloved wife of 34 years, Emma Byers Hilliard; his mother, Billie Marie Kuykendahl; his father, John Bernice Hilliard; and brother, Vance Hilliard.

A graveside service to celebrate and honor Henry's life will be held on Wednesday, September 20, 2023 at Sulphur Springs Cemetery at 2:00 PM. Brother Jim Blaylock will officiate the service, and the Honor Guard from American Legion Post 106 will perform military honors.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the American Legion Post 106 in Trenton, GA.
