Jacob Lee Amoson

Jacob Lee Amoson, age 34, of Trenton, Georgia, passed away on Tuesday, July 28, 2026, from injuries sustained in an automobile accident.

A service to celebrate Jacob’s life will be held at Rising Fawn Baptist Church on Sunday, August 2, 2026 at 4:00 PM with Brother Robby Dunn officiating. The family will receive loved ones and friends at the church starting from 3:00 PM until the service time. 

Jacob was born on March 7, 1992, in McDonough, Georgia. Gifted with his hands and a natural ability to understand how things worked, Jacob was an excellent mechanic who could fix almost anything. He was employed as a diesel mechanic with Ryder in Chattanooga, Tennessee, and took great pride in his work. He genuinely loved his job and the opportunity it gave him to put his talents to use each day.

Away from work, Jacob appreciated life’s simple comforts with his girlfriend, Katelynn M. Usry, living on a farm. He enjoyed relaxing in his air-conditioned home, watching television, and loving on the family dog, Millie. He had a special love for animals and enjoyed tending to his cows. Jacob also liked fishing and never passed up a good meal, especially his grandmother’s chicken pot pie and banana pudding.

Jacob was a Christian, and his favorite passage of Scripture was Romans 8:38–39—a reminder that neither death nor life, nor anything else in all creation, can separate us from the love of God. Those words now offer comfort and assurance to the family and friends who loved him.

He was preceded in death by his grandfathers, Tyrone Buchanan and Don Blevins; and his aunt, Barbi Hurst.

Left to cherish his memory are his mother and stepfather, Marci and Martin Blevins; his grandmothers, Brenda Bell and “Nana” Pat Blevins; his siblings, Corey Amoson, Drake Blevins, Tyrone Blevins, Chesley Blevins, and Charlee Blevins; his aunt, Anessia Reeves; his beloved family dog, Millie; and many extended family members and dear friends.
