James "Jimmy" Bruce

James "Jimmy" Allen Bruce, aged 72, Higdon, AL, passed away unexpectedly on December 29, 2023 at his home.

A graveside service to honor Jimmy's life will be held on Monday, January 1, 2024 11:00 AM EST at Payne Gap Cemetery in Flat Rock, AL. There will be no visitation at the funeral home.

Born on May 9, 1951, Jimmy was a kind-hearted individual and a beloved brother. He dedicated many years of service to Yate's Bleachery in Flintstone, GA before retiring. Jimmy had a special fondness for animals, particularly his dog Lucy. He also found joy in expressing himself through poetry.

Jimmy is survived by his siblings, David Bruce and Debra Bruce Fiorellino, as well as several aunts, uncles, and extended family members.

He was preceded in death by his mother, June Downer Bruce; brother, Don Bruce; grandparents, Adell and James Dixie Downer; and nephew, Tommy Fiorellino.
