Jayson Pritchett

Jayson Lavoy Pritchett, 51, of Jonesboro, Georgia, passed away on Monday, September 28, 2026, at his home.

Jayson was born on May 15, 1975, in Riverdale, Georgia, and was raised in Jonesboro. He worked as a transportation manager for many years. Jayson had a good sense of humor and enjoyed reading, comic books, anime, science fiction, and cooking. Above all, he loved his family and shared a particularly close bond with his beloved son and his mother, proudly earning the title of “Momma’s baby.”

He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Leon and Maggie Garrison and Rev. JB and Dorcas Pritchett; and nephew, Garrison Pritchett.

Those left to cherish his memory include his son, Charles Jayson "CJ" Pritchett; foster son, Hugo Morales; parents, Danny and Sarah Pritchett; sisters, Cilicia De La Fuente (Antonio) and Christy Edwards Knight (Rick); nieces, Whitley Pritchett and Peyton Carter Pritchett; and a host of extended family and friends.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Saturday, October 3, 2026, in the Larry Moore Memorial Chapel of Moore Funeral Home in Trenton, Georgia, with Brother Barry Pritchett and Brother Michael Pritchett officiating. Interment will follow at Oak Lawn Memorial Park in Bryant, Alabama.

The family will receive friends on Friday, October 2nd from 4:00 – 8:00 PM and on Saturday from 11:00 AM until the service hour.

Pallbearers will be Ryan Brewer, Douglas Pritchett, Chad Garrison, Adam Carroll, Hugo Morales, Jory Wood, Lucky Pridmore, Brody Pritchett, Zack Darnell, Ty Sanders, and Jonathan Rogers.
