Jean Williams

Jean Williams passed away on April 1, 2024 in Trenton, Georgia at age 74 with her daughter Michelle and family at her side. She was born in Evanston, Illinois, on Sept 26, 1949, to John and Dorine (Diehl) Williams, the youngest of three children. Jean married Roland "Blackie" Dumontet in 1977. They had one daughter before divorcing in 1980.

Jean received her Registered Nurse (RN) degree in 1970 and later in life earned her Registered Nurse First Assistant (RNFA) and Nurse Practitioner (NP) degrees. Her 40 year nursing career was spent in San Francisco and Visalia, California, and she retired to Zihuatenjo, Mexico where she had visited many times.

Jean loved scuba diving, traveling, reading, warm weather, buying things, crafting, and excelled at jewelry making. Jean loved her dogs. 

Jean is survived by daughter, Michelle (Chris Kelly) Williams; brother, John C. "Jack" Williams; sister, Jill (John) Bishop and sister-friend for 50 years, Marian Holstein. She was preceded in death by her parents and former husband, Roland.

Jean lived life to the fullest and saved many lives through her profession. She will be remembered for her appreciation of life, happy disposition, and positive attitude. A gathering to celebrate things she loved with those she loved most will be scheduled at a later date.
