Joyce Gray

Joyce Angelene Gray, age 70, of the New Salem Community on Lookout Mountain, passed away on December 17, 2023, after a brief illness.

A funeral service to celebrate and honor Joyce's life will be held on Thursday, December 21, 2023 at 2:00 p.m. at the Trenton Chapel of Moore Funeral Home. The service will be officiated by Brother Jim Blaylock. Following the service, Joyce will be laid to rest at Hawkins Cemetery.

Friends and loved ones are invited to pay their respects at the funeral home on Thursday from 11:00 AM until the service hour.

Joyce was born on November 2, 1953 to the late Brockie and Verna Mae Ridley. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother who cherished her family deeply. Joyce's warm and affectionate nature endeared her to all who had the pleasure of knowing her. She will be greatly missed.

Left to cherish Joyce's memory are her husband of 52 years, Bobby Gray, Sr.; daughters, Melony (Robin) Baschnagel and Candice Gray (Alex Dowding); brothers, Allen Danny and Roger Ridley; grandchildren, Garrett Gray (Sarah) Hayden, and Adalyn Dunnell, Ariya and Evie Dowding, Debra (Thomas) Stamos, Sara Gray, and Cody Baschnagel; great-grandchildren, Riley Breedlove, Lydia, David and Elizabeth Stamos, and Barrett Gray; excitedly anticipating and soon to arrive, River Gray; several extended family members and a host of friends.

In addition to her parents, Brockie and Verna Mae Ridley and sister Merion “Mert” Blevins, Joyce was preceded in death by her son, Bobby Russell Gray Jr.
