Joyce Perkins

Joyce Annette Perkins, of Trenton, GA, passed away on June 13, 2023, at PruittHealth - Fort Oglethorpe at the age of 78. Joyce was born in Indianapolis, IN on November 9, 1944 to the late Elmer Clarence and Julia Nichols Homburg. Joyce led a beautiful life, dedicated to caring for others.

She was an accomplished woman who achieved many things in life. She owned Another Way counseling in Chattanooga for many years and worked as a registered nurse for Hospice of Chattanooga until retirement. Through her work, Joyce was able to make a significant difference in people's lives and help those around her feel cared for.

But perhaps Joyce’s greatest achievement was her impact on the many people she helped during her career and throughout her life. Her kind heart and generous spirit touched all those who knew her and will be remembered fondly by all whose lives she touched.

Joyce is survived by her brother, Phil Homburg, grandson, Vincent (Shana) Perkins; great-grandchildren, Taylor and Baylee Perkins; daughters in-law, Sonja Cloud and Allison Perkins; several nieces and nephews. Along with her parents, she was preceded in death by sons, Christopher and Matthew Perkins; and siblings, Jerry, Greg, and Sally.

A Memorial Gathering will be held at Moore Funeral Home in Trenton, GA on Saturday, June 24th from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.
