Kenneth “Ken” Myrl Wooten, 83, of Rising Fawn, GA, passed away on Thursday, December 4, 2025.
Ken loved his family and cherished every moment spent with them. His faith was central to his life, and he found encouragement in reading his Bible. He was a member of Last Day Harvest Ministries in Ider, AL. Ken was a hardworking man who took great pride in everything he did, especially in keeping his vehicles meticulous. He also enjoyed relaxing with a good Western movie or a Louis L’Amour book.
Left to treasure his memory are his wife of 26 years, Darlene Cornett Wooten; mother, Geneva Wooten; children, Nikki (Austin Dunn) McCurdy, Shelli (Chris) Gilreath, Tiffany (Conan) Taylor, Randy (Elaina) Goins, and Robbie (Suzanne) Goins; siblings, Sherrie (Howard Allen) Koy, Delaine (Ron) Mapes, Stacey (Ahslynn) Wooten, Brian (April) Wooten, and Vaughn (Bobbie) Wooten; thirteen grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his father, Harvey Wooten; mother, Bessie Holland Wooten; brothers, Johnny Wooten and Larry Wooten; and grandson, Rhett McCurdy.
A funeral service to honor Ken’s life will be held at 1:00 PM ET on Monday, December 8, 2025, in the Larry Moore Memorial Chapel of Moore Funeral Home in Trenton, GA. Brother Randy Taylor and Brother Ryan Robertson will officiate. Following the service, he will be laid to rest at Beulah Chapel Cemetery in Ider, AL.
The family will receive friends on Sunday from 2:00–6:00 PM and on Monday from 11:00 AM until the service hour.
