Mary Frances Taylor

Mary Frances Taylor, age 75, of Bryant, Alabama, passed away on Saturday, July 27, 2025, at a hospital in Chattanooga, Tennessee.

Mary was a devoted nurse who dedicated her life to caring for others. She spent most of her adult life in North Carolina, where she worked in healthcare and raised her family. After retiring, her compassionate spirit remained strong as she continued to care for the elderly by sitting with those in need. In recent years, she moved to Bryant to be closer to family.

Mary found joy in the simple things—tending to her flower gardens, spending time with loved ones, and doting on her beloved cat, Oreo.

She is survived by her brother, Emerson John (Mary) McCarty of Bryant, AL; sister, Mary Lynn Skinner; and granddaughter, Lilly Seachrest. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Taylor; son, Jason Taylor; parents, Emerson and Ida McCarty; and siblings, Mary Katherine, Mary Anne, Patty, Jesse, and John.

The family would like to extend special thanks to Sandra and William Haskins for their care and friendship in Mary’s final years.

Mary will be laid to rest alongside her husband at Coastal Carolina State Veterans Cemetery in Jacksonville, North Carolina.
