Mary Nell Wood

Mary Nell Wood, age 90, of Trenton, Georgia, passed away peacefully on Friday, April 24, 2026.

A graveside service will be held on Monday, April 27, 2026, at 11:00 AM at Hooker Cemetery in Wildwood, Georgia.

Mary Nell was a woman with a servant’s heart. She dedicated over 50 years of her life working as a CNA in nursing home facilities, where she faithfully cared for others with compassion and kindness. Taking care of people was not just her profession, it was her calling. She was of the Christian faith and enjoyed attending church whenever she was able. Her gentle spirit and loving nature left a lasting impression on all who knew her. She will be deeply missed by her family and friends.

She is survived by her son, Jim Dickerson of Lavonia, Georgia; her brother, Lebron Hibbs of Trenton, Georgia; her sister, Ann Dickerson of Torrance, California; her grandchildren, Joey Henegar of Greenville, Tennessee, Jim Dickerson Jr. of Lavonia, Georgia, Landon Dickerson, and Kaylee Dickerson; along with several nieces, nephews, and extended family members.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, Charlie Dickerson and Bill Wood; her children, Patricia Gladdon, Charles Dickerson, and Eddie Dickerson; and her parents, Harry and Louise Hibbs.
