Matthew Holcomb

Matthew Arthur Holcomb, age 44, of Trenton, Georgia, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, June 24, 2026.

Matthew was born on May 30, 1982, in Fort Oglethorpe, Georgia, to the late Marion “Boodle” Holcomb and Delilah Mullins Holcomb. He was a lifelong resident of Dade County and a graduate of Dade County High School.

Matthew grew up around his family's business, Video World, where many local people rented movies and video games. Being part of the store helped foster his own love of books, movies, and gaming. Matthew enjoyed escaping into a good book or video game, but his greatest joy came from the love of his family and the time they shared together.

He is survived by his brother, Anthony (Connie) Mullins; niece, Elizabeth Mullins; nephew, Ryan D’Anna; great-niece, Layla; and several extended family members and friends.

In accordance with his wishes, Matthew will be cremated and laid to rest beside his mother at Lake Hills Memorial Gardens.

The family would like to express their sincere appreciation to the staff of Common Spirit for the compassion, kindness, and care they provided during Matthew's final days.
