Mavis Louise Cloud, 83, of Trenton, GA passed away peacefully on October 28, 2022, surrounded by those who loved her.
A Graveside Service will be held at 2:00 PM ET on Monday, October 31, 2022 at Oak Lawn Memorial Park in Bryant, AL.
The family will receive friends on Sunday from 12:00 PM – 3:00 PM ET and Monday from 1:00 PM – 1:45 PM ET at the Bryant Chapel of Moore Funeral Home.
Mavis was born on November 23, 1938 in Flat Rock, AL to the late Gordan and Lillie Shrader Johnson. She retired from Buster Brown in Henagar, AL after many years of service. She was a talented artist who enjoyed oil painting, checkers and dancing. Mavis was a loving mother, grandmother, great-grandmother and sister who will be missed by all who knew her.
In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, R.B. Cloud; brothers, Lionel and Glenn Johnson; and boyfriend of 30 years, Millard Evers.
Left to cherish her memory are her children, Sharon (Don) Smothers and Dewayne (Doris) Cloud; siblings, Doris (Dee Dee) Russell and Paul Johnson; grandchildren, Christie (Allen) Taylor and Kasie Cloud; great-grandchildren, Cory and Chloe Taylor; cousin, Mary Lois Gray; several nieces, nephews and friends.
