Mike Jones

Michael “Mike” Alvin Jones, age 67, of Trenton, Georgia, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, April 29, 2026, in a local hospital with his children by his side.

A graveside service will be held on Friday, May 1, 2026, at 4:00 PM ET at Oak Lawn Memorial Park in Bryant, Alabama.

The family will receive friends at the Bryant Chapel of Moore Funeral Home on Friday from 1:00 PM until 3:30 PM ET.

Mike was born on February 13, 1959, to the late Alvin and Louise Hicks Jones. He was a proud father and grandfather who loved his family deeply. Mike spent many years traveling the country as a truck driver, embracing the open road and the independence it brought. He also dedicated many years to Hardee’s in the Rainsville, Alabama area, where he served as General Manager.

Mike could be described as strong-willed, a man who liked to do things his own way, and someone who carried a wealth of knowledge from a life well lived. He was a devoted fan of Alabama football, enjoyed watching classic Westerns, and spending time shooting. His presence, opinions, and stories will be missed by all who knew him.

He is survived by his children, Brandon Jones, Pamela (Will) Shanklin, and Christopher Jones; his grandchildren, Justin Elders, Amelia Plemons, Eli Shanklin, and Sam Shanklin; along with several extended family members.

In addition to his parents, Mike was preceded in death by his siblings, Debbie Stacey and Kenneth Jones.
