Mike West

Michael Wayne West, age 68, of Trenton, Georgia, passed away unexpectedly on Thursday, June 25, 2026.

The family will receive friends on Monday, June 29, 2026, from 5:00 PM until 8:00 PM ET at the Trenton Chapel of Moore Funeral Home.

Mike will be remembered for his quick wit, infectious sense of humor, and ability to make those around him laugh. He was a talented drummer who shared his love of music by playing with several bands and in area churches over the years. Whether on stage or behind the scenes, Mike had a gift for bringing joy to others.

He spent many years working in the auto parts industry before beginning a career as a truck driver. Following his retirement, Mike discovered a passion for wood turning. His creativity shone through every piece he crafted, from beautiful resin-filled bowls to handcrafted pens and rings. He found great satisfaction in creating unique works that reflected both his skill and imagination.

Above all else, Mike loved his family. He was a devoted husband to Joann and embraced his stepchildren as his own, offering them his love, support, and guidance throughout their lives. His family was his greatest source of pride and joy.

He is survived by his loving wife, Joann West; his sister, Hazel Jenkins; his stepchildren, Christy (Trey) Narmore, Joey (Terri) Rutherford, Nicki (Shane) Martin, Aaron Gifford, Ashley (Jeremy) McDonald, and Jack (McKinzie) Holland; several grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and many extended family members and dear friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Barney and Annie West; and his siblings, Ronald West, Verlon West, Bob West, Harold West, Steve West, Iris Blackwell, and Janet Gardner.
