Myranda Garrett

Myranda Gail Garrett, age 51, of Dutton, AL, passed away unexpectedly at her home on Wednesday, July 23, 2025.

Myranda loved her family deeply, especially her grandbabies, who brought her so much joy. She was an excellent cook, known for filling both hearts and stomachs with her meals. With a quick wit and a kind spirit, Myranda had a way of making people laugh and feel welcome. Her love for animals was only matched by her love for people, and she will be dearly missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her.

She is survived by her loving children, Amberly, Dustin, and Courtney Garrett; her cherished grandchildren, E.J., Alex, and Gabriel; her mother, Jimmie Gail Hill; siblings, Larry Muir, David Muir, Brian Muir, Jessica Hester Morgan, and Magan Muir.

She was preceded in death by her grandmother, Virginia Muir; father, David Muir; and grandparents, Nellie and James Garrett.

The family will host a celebration of life at a later date to honor Myranda’s memory.
