Myron Eric “Crazy Bear” Abercrombie, age 66, of Trenton, Georgia, passed away peacefully on Tuesday, July 30, 2025.
Myron was proud of his Cherokee ancestry and was a member of the Echota Cherokee Tribe of Alabama. He carried that heritage with deep respect and joy throughout his life. He especially enjoyed attending Pow-Wows, where he would dance, play the flute, and drum — honoring the traditions of his people and sharing his spirit with others through music and movement.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Truett and Vera Abercrombie. Left to carry on his memory are his siblings, Hilda (Bobby) Hickey, Charles (Sharon) Abercrombie, and Ranita (Dennis) Bradford; his children, Brock Abercrombie, Tiffney Abercrombie, Cody (Misty) Abercrombie, and Amber (Josh) Whitaker; along with several grandchildren, nieces, nephews, and friends who loved him dearly.
A Celebration of Life will be held at 3:00 PM on Saturday, August 9, 2025, at Rising Fawn Baptist Church in Rising Fawn, Georgia. Visitation will begin on Saturday at 1:30.
Instead of flowers, donations in Myron’s memory may be made to Moore Funeral Home in Trenton, Georgia. www.MooreFHS.com
The family shares this tribute: “He loved the Lord, his family, and his friends. May you sing and dance, and be happy. No more pain. No crying. You're with MawMaw and PawPaw now, in the arms of Jesus. We love you. Until we see you in Heaven.”
If you have photos, videos, or memories of Myron, please share them with the family so that his story and spirit may continue to inspire and be remembered.
