Mrs. Peggy Lou Payne

Peggy Lou Payne, 78, of Rising Fawn, GA passed away peacefully on Thursday, December 22, 2022 at her home.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, December 27, 2022 at the Trenton Chapel of Moore Funeral Home with Brother Eddie Cantrell officiating. Interment will follow at Byrds Chapel Cemetery.

The family will receive friends on Monday, December 26, 2022 from 3:00 PM – 8:00 PM and on Tuesday from 11:00 AM until the funeral hour.

Peggy and her husband PeeWee were the owners of Glass Farm Nursery and P&P Produce for many years. She enjoyed spending time with family, gardening, canning and gambling. Peggy was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and great-grandmother who will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Marvin and Louise Willie King; and sister, Betty Ellis.

Left to cherish her memory are her husband of fifty-seven years, Louis Eugene “PeeWee” Payne; daughters, Sandy Payne, Charlotte (Paul) Payne, Lisa (Sammy) Rice, Tina (Jeeter) Payne and Andrea Dee (Robert) Owens; best dog, Boy; grandchildren, Sky Bolton, Stormy (Dane) Robinson, Michael Lowery and Kolt Owens; great-grandchildren, Maelee Robinson, Addie Gass, Kalloway Lowery and Banks Lowery; several nieces, nephews and a host of friends.
