Randy Owens

Randal Lebron “Randy” Owens, age 67, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, October 29, 2025, at his home surrounded by his loving family.

Randy was a resident of the New Salem Community on Lookout Mountain. He devoted more than forty years to a rewarding career with Bi-Lo and Food City before retiring. For much of his career, he worked at the 23rd Street store in Chattanooga, TN, where he was well-known and respected by coworkers and customers alike.

Outside of work, Randy found joy in tending his flower gardens and spending time outdoors. Above all, he loved his wife and family dearly and cherished every moment shared together.

Left to treasure his memory are his devoted wife of nearly 43 years, Darlene Newman Owens; son, Jason (Kimberly) McMillian; daughter, Brandy Adams; grandson, Sebastian Adams; brother, Robert Owens; sister, Donna (Jim) Harris; along with several cousins and extended family.

He was preceded in death by his mother, Lamaryl Autry East; grandson, Cody Gage Bowling; and grandparents, Gordon and Etta Autry.
