Regina Matthews

Regina Gail Matthews, age 57, of Riverdale, GA, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 20, 2025.

Born into a large and loving family, Regina was one of ten siblings who cherished her deeply. She shared a special bond with each of them, and her presence brought warmth and laughter wherever she went. Above all, her greatest joy in life was her daughter, Makayla, who meant the world to her.

Regina will be remembered for her kind spirit, her devotion to family, and the way she touched the lives of all who had the privilege of knowing her.

She is survived by her beloved daughter, Makayla Matthews; sisters, Reta Massey, Roxane Kilgore, Renae Powell, Ronda Higdon, and Rosalie Baldwin; brothers, Rusty, Ralph Jr., Randall, and Ritchie Matthews; along with many nieces, nephews, and extended family members who will carry her memory in their hearts.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Ralph and Ruth Lusk Matthews.

The family will hold a Celebration of Life to honor Regina at a later date.

Regina’s love, laughter, and gentle spirit will be dearly missed but never forgotten.
