RICHARD “TWEED” POWELL
Richard “Tweed” Henson Powell, age 44, of Lookout Mountain, GA. went home to be with his Lord and Savior on Saturday, September 5, 2020. He was an avid hunter and a lover of the outdoors. His happiest moments involved hunting with his dad, boys, and several friends. He loved to tell stories of his hunting adventures and loved a good joke.
He is preceded in death by his grandparents Richard and Jewell Powell and Ralph and Polly Henson.
Left to cherish his memory are his sons Ethan and Mason Powell of Chickamauga; parents Morris and Marie Powell, brother Eric (Heather) Powell; the love of his life Jessica Nix all of Lookout Mountain; and a host of beloved family and friends.
Graveside services will be held Tuesday, September 8, 2020 at 2:00 PM EDT at the Mount Pleasant Cemetery with Brother David Hale officiating.
The family will receive friends at the Trenton Chapel of Moore Funeral from 12:00 ~ 1:30 PM EDT prior to the graveside service.
We respectfully request that social distancing and all CDC Covid-19 measures are adhered to and masks are strongly encouraged.
