Mrs. Rita Jane Mitchell

Rita Jane Mitchell, age 82, of Lookout Mountain, GA., passed away peacefully in her home, surrounded by loved ones, on March 3, 2022. She was a member of Lookout Mountain Missionary Baptist Church.

Rita was a sweet, caring, and loving mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. She had no limit to her patience and love.

She is preceded in death by her husband, Alton Mitchell; daughter Jill Hise; parents, Andrew and Versa Brown; three sisters and one brother.

She is survived by her daughters, Janie (Doyle) Holcomb; June (David) Smith; eight grandchildren; fourteen great-grandchildren; and a host of friends.

Funeral services will be held in the Trenton Chapel on Moore Funeral Home on Sunday, March 6, 2022 at 1:00 PM ET with Brother Alvin Cummings officiating. She will be laid to rest at Mount Olive Cemetery.

The family will receive friends Saturday, March 5, 2022 from 3:00 PM - 8:00 PM ET and Sunday 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM ET.
