Robert T. Higdon

Robert Theodore Higdon, age 72, peacefully passed away at his home in Rising Fawn, Georgia, on Tuesday, September 24, 2024, after a courageous battle with cancer.

A graveside service to honor Robert's life will be held on Thursday, September 26th, at 2:00 PM ET at Oak Lawn Memorial Park with Brother Wayne Winters officiating. Visitation will be held on Thursday from 10:00 AM - 1:45 PM at the Bryant Chapel of Moore Funeral Home.

Robert was a devoted husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend, who cherished his family dearly. He was a hard worker and dedicated many years to his work as a poultry farmer, taking pride in his labor and enjoying his time caring for the land. He was a Christian and of the Baptist faith.

He is survived by his beloved wife, Terrie Higdon; his children, Lynn (Nona) Higdon, Wanda (Jeff) Hartline, and Ashton (Chad) Davis; and his siblings, Betty Brooks, Helen (Wendell) Howard, Lucille York, Catherine Neely, Shirley Talley, Patricia Elliott, and Tony (Darcy) Higdon. Robert also leaves behind a legacy of love through his grandchildren, Dillion (Kaitlyn) Reece, Zebulon Reece, Kara Higdon, and Kami (Jay) Barrett, as well as Brooklynn Gass; his great-grandchildren, Jase and Journee Reece, and Piper and Magnolia Barrett; along with several nieces, nephews, extended family, and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Ted and Ollie Cooper Higdon, and his brother John L. Higdon.

Robert will be deeply missed, and his memory will be cherished by all who knew him.
