Roberta Elizabeth Jump

Roberta Elizabeth Jump, 83, of Flat Rock, Alabama, passed away peacefully on Saturday, October 24, 2026, surrounded by her loving family.

Roberta was born on September 23, 1943, in Chattanooga, Tennessee, to the late Robert and Virginia Blair MacRae. A woman of strong Christian faith, she attended Piney Grove Baptist Church whenever she was able and found great comfort in her love for the Lord. She was also a Past Matron of the Betsy Ross Chapter of the Order of the Eastern Star.

Roberta enjoyed the simple pleasures in life, especially embroidering, quilting, and taking trips to the beautiful mountains of Gatlinburg, Tennessee. Above all, she treasured time spent with her family. She was a loving and devoted mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother whose kindness and caring spirit will be fondly remembered by those who knew and loved her.

Her faith was a source of strength and comfort throughout her life, and her family finds peace in knowing she is now reunited with loved ones who have gone before her. Roberta wished to leave her family and friends with these comforting words:

“Rejoice, no tears, I'm home with my Lord and family.”

In addition to her parents, Roberta was preceded in death by her beloved husband, Milton Lewis Jump, Jr.; and her grandson, Joseph Jump, Jr.

Left to cherish her memory are her sons, Milton (Arden) Jump and Joseph (Sara) Jump, Sr.; grandchildren, Ashley (Austin) McCord, David Stone, Jr., Christopher (Kristen) Stone, Isabelle (Brady) Cagle, Joseph Jump III, Heaven (Wesley) Wilson, Evan Stone, Skylar Foster, Jordan Jump, Dakota Jump, Keegan Jump, and Jackson Jump; great-grandchildren, Carter McCord, Nevaeh McCord, Lainee Cagle, Lachlan Cagle, and Heaven Alexis Stone; along with a host of extended family members and dear friends.

Funeral services will be held at 11:30 AM on Wednesday, October 28, 2026, in the Larry Moore Memorial Chapel of Moore Funeral Home in Trenton, Georgia, with Brother Larry Williams officiating. Roberta will be laid to rest at Chattanooga National Cemetery.

The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, October 27, from 4:00 PM until 8:00 PM and on Wednesday from 10:00 AM until the funeral hour.
